On Friday, September 27, Holy Trinity 1st Graders invited their moms to Muffins, Moms and Miraculous Medals. Fr. Martin noted at Mass that it really was an “M” day – Muffins, Moms, Miraculous Medals of Mary at Mass with their teacher, Mrs. Morgan Plunkett, Mrs. Michele Bosch, our principal, and Fr. Martin! September 27 is the Feast of St. Vincent De Paul, and his work inspired the Sisters of Charity. The 1st Grade learned about Sister of Charity St. Catherine Laboure and the story of the Miraculous Medal. A God smile! Fr. Martin blessed the medals to be distributed and told the moms to rely on the blessed Mother in all times of their lives. Mrs. Morgan Plunkett gifted each 1st Grader a Miraculous Medal around their neck, and then each 1st Grader placed a Miraculous Medal around their mom’s neck. The ceremony ended and the class shared artwork that the students created about St. Catherine and the Miraculous Medal of Mary. Everyone enjoyed a sweet treat of Muffins!
